Twenty
days after the dreamy desert trip to Coachella, we, qian, di, and
I, were back again for The Cure, this time at the HFStival 2004 in
Washington DC. In nearly eight hot, muddy, and exhausting hours, we
fought to stay in the front rows. Those crowd-surfing-for-fun DC kids
finally took a break, when Robert Smith stepped onto the stage and
brought a completely different mood to the RFK Stadium with the opening
Lost. The Cure played a fantastic set, though a bit too short. We
displayed our banner a third time to The Cure in three weeks, and
the message has been delivered again.
